Have you ever want to get in touch your friends from high school who u haven't seen for nearly 10 years? For me, YES. A big yes. Now this idea come true, as I and my friends has set up a group "Preah Sihanouk High School Bac II 2002". There I have met some friends who I haven't seen for nearly 10 years - that's after exam finished.

For this few days, we are so active in posting & group chat. We start to introduce ourselves again, since some of us might have forgotten each other. Come to my surprise, I've found out that one of the girl, whom I feel only a bit of familiar with her face, was my classmate in grade 10. This makes 11 years of not keeping in touch with each other. It's always bring me a good memory when we talk about the high school time.

Well, after my lunch, I start feeling bored... So I just check my mail then I see the "Reader" link on the top. I just remember that I have 60+ posts I need to read, so I plan to read them all today.

Should I pay for online certificate?

Tonight, I just check out some website which offer JavaScript certificate. I found 2 websites, Brainbench.com and ncsacademy.com. I have passed JavaScript test on both site. Now I wonder should I pay for the certificate?

Yes! now I got Firefox 5 running on my Ubuntu machine.

This is the first rapid-release version. With the rapid-release plan, Firefox will spend five weeks each on Aurora and Beta while all subsequent releases will spend six weeks on each branch. Here are the Firefox's release plan:

• 2011-07-05: Firefox 7 -> mozilla-aurora; Firefox 6 -> mozilla-beta
• 2011-08-16: Firefox 8 -> mozilla-aurora; Firefox 7 -> mozilla-beta; Firefox 6 -> mozilla-release

From the release plan, we can see that by the end of the year, we will have release version of Firefox 9. Let's see if they can keep up with their schedule :D

Stressful

As usual, when it comes to doing research where we don't know if it's possible to implement some features, it's become more and more stressful over the time. From yesterday, I spend more than 10 hours+ googling and testing most of browsers for iphone... at the end, still I couldn't find any solutions and also couldn't confirm if there no solution exist yet. :-(

What I hear from my boss is, if there no solution for this, we need to at least 99% make sure, so we don't look stupid when later the client come and say "hey, there's solution out there". *sighs* hopefully, tomorrow, the sky is clear tomorrow.

Longest Eclipse in 100 years - Full Lunar Eclipse - 6/15/11

Last night, I saw a tweet made by Google that there will be Lunar Eclipse and it will be lived on Youtube. First I thought it's a normal eclipse, so I decide not to wait for it. However, in the morning, when I see Google homepage, oh, god! I shouldn't have missed it :-(

Yeah, I'm going to start my class this weekends. Today, I've registered for an online course which will last for 7 weeks. Though it's not long, but still I can say I'll be back as a student again :D

Ebook reader

It's been a while since I want to own an ebook reader. Till now, two products are in my mind, Amazon Kindle & NOOK color.

The device price is affordable; however the shipping price is kinda too high :S. Found it really expensive while I should pay $114 for Amazon Kindle and I need to pay around $50 - 60 extra for shipping. *Sighs* Wish I were in US now :-(

Surf blocked site on Ubuntu

It's been months since Metfone has blocked "*.blogspot.com". It's been very annoying to me. Thus, tonight, as my free time (lazy to be exact :P ) I did a little search on UltraSurf for Ubuntu and here comes the solution, TOR Project. It's working really well.

Quick update from Nha Trang

Here's another quick update from Nha Trang.

We had spent a day at Dalad & a day in Nha Trang. Dalad is a mountain area where we can visit waterfall. The weather there is cold. (similar to cameron highland). Nha Trang ia the sea area. We went to Vinpearl island (pearl of Vietnam). It's a musement park.

Now we are ready to go back to Ho Chi Ming city. The bus will take around 11 hours :-( it's a long trip...

Here's another quick update

My team arrived here at 12:15pm. Then the tour bring us to have our lunch at Dong Khanh Hotel. After that we we had a little at Ceasar hotel. At 3pm we went to a resort (already forgot the name :P) we play there till 6pm then we had dinner at a floating restaurant in that resort.

Quick update

I'm at my office now... well, for the first time I come to office at 5Am o.O It's chilling while I had a ride here.

Now almost all of colleagues has gathered, and everyone is ready to leave soon for Vietnam. Will try to update once I reach there (provided I have internet connection :D ).

Damn Sleepy

Damn sleepy now. Event a cup of black ice-coffee can't help anything. Been always staying till late every nights this whole week. Hopefully I can have a full sleep tonight. Need to wake up at 4am tomorrow morning :-( It's killing me.

Life's getting bored?

Just started to feel this way. It looks like ppl around started to act strange and some are having their own problem. Somehow, for me, I dun have any problems at all. These few months I have hanged out a lot more I had before, but still I fell life's getting more and more boring. I do want to change something to break through this boring life, but still I really don't have enough courage to change it.

My first Firefox extension :-)

Yesterday, it was a "hack day" in my office. In this hack day, everyone is free to choose any project they wanna build or spike on. It happened once a month (friday last week of the month). For this first hack day, I've chosen building firefox extension as my project. There are many reasons I've chosen this project.

First of all, I'm a firefox fan (an yeah, I'm a loyal one). I've been using firefox for many years (I think start from version 1+). I'm really in love of many useful Firefox extension i can find which really help me a lot. Second, I want to learn s.th I can develop for the community. (well, it's 'Energy receive, energy return, aspire people everywhere'). Third, I want to build s.th to support open source community :D. There are many more... :D

It was just my learning project only. The next I want, I really wanna build s.th that useful for other people. So far, I haven't have any idea on what should I build yet :-( If you have anythings you need, just drop your idea here. If possible, I build it right away :D

Iphone App is approved by App Store

Yeay... just got email this morning from Apple Store informing about the changing of my Company Application :-) For the last whole week, I was really worried that the app is rejected by Apple, as I've heard many ppl don't get their app approved from App Store. Gotta say "Happy Weekends!!!".

Am I an ignorant person?

Frankly speaking, I'm having this thought from time to time. Even though I'm staying next to them, I always be the last to know that he/she is in trouble.

As you know, I'm not that talkative and most of the time, I feel that i can't express my emotion very well. Even though I really want to help you, I don't know how to act or express my thought to him/her. I'm not good not consolation someone. I feel like I'm useless when this kind of problem a rise. Most of the time, I started to think "Am I an ignorant person or you just don't think that i'm worst to know ur problem?" It's frustrated when we think that we're in a good relationship to someone and we would be able to help him/her when there's any problem, but in the end, we don't know that he/she is having problem all a long the way :(

The more I think, the more I feel frustrated with how ignorant I am. I can't event notice what's going on. I can't feel there's a problem. I can't feel my friend's sadness.

I'm writing just want to let you know that even I can't help to consolidate you, I can have my ears listening to your problem. Please do share with me.

p.s. I'm sorry that I am a big ignorant person. Hope you don't mind me.

One of the big decision for my working life

This morning, I got a call from HR Inc. They told me that I got accepted. The position is Jr. Developer with salary about the same as my current salary.

I have been thinking a lot this morning whether I should catch this opportunity or just let it go. It's a rare opportunity which doesn't pass by often. *sighs*

Still not working

I've been trying to access this blog from home a few nights, but it still doesn't work. That stupid ISP has blocked blogspot.com for a few days already. Wonder when I am able to gain access to my blog from home again. *sighs*

ZTE Tablet

Today, one of my colleague just brought in his Android tablet which is made by ZTE. The touch sensitive is aceeptable (well, not as good as iPhone or ipad), the size is small to fit our palm. The speed is quite acceptable. Overall, I think it's acceptable. (my friend got it from Australia [locked] for $150). Here's some of pict I took:

After the Staff performance appraisal ended, my Mobile team is no longer exist. I'm going to be in the Web GIS team, doing online web mapping. There're a lot of things to catch up. Wish me luck :|

2011 first in to-buy list...

Haven't give a real thought of what's I'm going to buy this year; however the first thing come into mind is laptop (while s.o is eager to buy desktop). I'd love a Mac Book Pro, but it's a bit too expensive for me and I can't support it now... so I change to the cheap(est?) one. Anyone can guess the brand? ;-)
