First time with DHL

Well, it's my first time buying item online and shipping using DHL. The process quite simple. After we click buy, we just wait for our seller pack the item and send it to DHL. After that, the send the tracking code, so it's easy to track where the item arrive.

Have you ever want to get in touch your friends from high school who u haven't seen for nearly 10 years? For me, YES. A big yes. Now this idea come true, as I and my friends has set up a group "Preah Sihanouk High School Bac II 2002". There I have met some friends who I haven't seen for nearly 10 years - that's after exam finished.

For this few days, we are so active in posting & group chat. We start to introduce ourselves again, since some of us might have forgotten each other. Come to my surprise, I've found out that one of the girl, whom I feel only a bit of familiar with her face, was my classmate in grade 10. This makes 11 years of not keeping in touch with each other. It's always bring me a good memory when we talk about the high school time.

Back to school

Yeah, I'm going to start my class this weekends. Today, I've registered for an online course which will last for 7 weeks. Though it's not long, but still I can say I'll be back as a student again :D

My first Firefox extension :-)

Yesterday, it was a "hack day" in my office. In this hack day, everyone is free to choose any project they wanna build or spike on. It happened once a month (friday last week of the month). For this first hack day, I've chosen building firefox extension as my project. There are many reasons I've chosen this project.

First of all, I'm a firefox fan (an yeah, I'm a loyal one). I've been using firefox for many years (I think start from version 1+). I'm really in love of many useful Firefox extension i can find which really help me a lot. Second, I want to learn s.th I can develop for the community. (well, it's 'Energy receive, energy return, aspire people everywhere'). Third, I want to build s.th to support open source community :D. There are many more... :D

It was just my learning project only. The next I want, I really wanna build s.th that useful for other people. So far, I haven't have any idea on what should I build yet :-( If you have anythings you need, just drop your idea here. If possible, I build it right away :D

2011 first in to-buy list...

Haven't give a real thought of what's I'm going to buy this year; however the first thing come into mind is laptop (while s.o is eager to buy desktop). I'd love a Mac Book Pro, but it's a bit too expensive for me and I can't support it now... so I change to the cheap(est?) one. Anyone can guess the brand? ;-)

First thing come this year (@work)

Well, this year the first thing that come is New Year meeting ( >.< meeting to enforce some rules in office) and Staff performance appraisal. *sighs* Dun expect any salary raise this time :(

Big thing is started

Well, I was so excited on Monday after heard the big plan we had. And as for today, I'm really happy that our plan is get started right away. I've never work on s.th this exciting before. Surely, I feel it's my luck. Promise myself to work hard for it. I'll give my best on this. Hope it is successful as we have planned.

Already end of the month?

Well, I just notice myself that it's already 30th Nov. This month, the time seems fly so fast. As I've looked back what are useful things I've done this month, I see nothing I've done. Feel bad about that. Now, gotta tell myself to give my best for the coming month, the last month of the year. Wish me luck.

Change office

2nd after after change office back to 2nd floor. Now feel a bit fresh than in office on 3rd floor. Well, now working with my old colleagues. Things are getting a bit more fun and fresh :-) Hope i can enjoy this environment for a long time :D

Need to check my progress

It's already Nov. Seem the time travel so fast now. From time to time, everyone should do a review on themselves. Now, it should be time for me to do my own review. Hopefully, I am still on the right track. :-)

getting sick soon

Guess I'm going to get sick soon :( really too over work myself for 5 days already. Going to continue like this till end of this week . oh my Buddha.

exhausted

After all day putting my 100% energy on work, I feel so exhausted now :-( There's many things left for me to handle. *sighs*

So... busy :-(

I'm getting so busy this week :-( Trying to release a beta version of Iphone & Android application this Wed. only a few days left, but there's many backlogs needed to be completed. Going to spend extra time doing every evening. Hope I can still survive.

Cambodia 2010 - A space oddity

The Cambodian space project is no longer just a name of a band.

That’s because on Saturday morning, a group of software developers sent a helium balloon with a Styrofoam box into outer space from Kandal Province to take photos and video of the Earth above Cambodia.

Launching Preah Atith spaceship

Here's the launching of Preah Atith spaceship taken by my phone camera. The quality is not good, but it's what i have at the moment. I'll try to upload the quality one when I get the copy of it :D. Oh, well, some people might argue we shouldn't call it spaceship, but in my opinion, it's a spaceship :P

Building first Cambodian Spaceship

Yesterday, I've got chance to join the team building the first Cambodian Spaceship. This spaceship is made of a flying balloon, 2 camera, GPS transmitter, sonar reflector, a small para suite,...

The spaceship will go up to about 30km above the ground before the balloon explode & the box contain camera fall down to the earth. While the spaceship is going up & falling down, the camera inside will take picture automatically as it's been programmed. It's expected to be launched tomorrow (2nd Oct 2010) at Prey Veng Province & land in Kampong Speu Province, taking about 4hours to travel. However, this date is not yet confirmed yet as we have an issue to solve with the GPS device.
