Most interesting thing in mini barcamp this week - moonOS

moonOS is a complete and fully functional operative system based on the LXDE, Enlightenment DR17 and powered by the popular Linux Distribution Ubuntu. moonOS, a project started and designed by the Cambodian artist Chanrithy Thim, is perfect for any Desktop, Laptop PC or even for a Virtual Machine.

The latest version of moonOS is version 3, codename Makara, based on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope and its repositories.

What's impress me the most is the guy who create this OS is in high school, grade 12.

Here're some of the screenshot of moonOS:

Operative System? U mean Operating System? Are you saying that a grade 12 student creates an operating system? Is it just an interface or what?

@Sparking-kiddie: yes, cool bos ke. he started to learn learn about Linux in grade 9 or 10.

@gaara: that sentence I just copy from the site. not writing myself :P. The OS is build on top of Ubuntu. If you know how Linux works, U'll understand this. But well, in case you don't understand, I just briefly explain this. This mean that he took the core of ubuntu & customize + tweak. Also, he has built some software & put in moonOS to make it more user friendly than Ubuntu. Need more explaination, do let me know :D

It sounds better that way.. it means that he doesn't create another OS. More or less, he just enhance the interface of Ubuntu and that's all.. However, he's good with design.. that's without doubt.. :)
